Unfortunately, we do not have any prices for the options that you have selected. However, we do have some advice on what to do with your old device.
Although none of our recyclers are currently offering a price for your device, it is still of the utmost importance that you find a way to keep it in circulation. If you throw away your device, it is likely to end up on a landfill site where it will become e-waste, which is highly detrimental to the environment. Find out more about e-waste here.
When you are ready to put your Honor 5c back on the market, simply choose which recycling company you feel is giving you the best offer for your Honor 5c. Once you have chosen your recycler, they will need information about you and your phone. Then, you can either use a freepost package or your own packaging to send your device to the recycler. Once this has been carried out, you will get paid through either PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.
We would recommend that you sell your Honor 5c now if you are done with it, as smartphones’ value tends to depreciate over time. While you could sell your device now, you could also wait until certain points annually which are also ideal. These would be close to Christmas and just before a new Honor handset is announced, when tends to be in the spring.
The Honor 5c was released in 2016 with a capacity option of 16GB. This was £150 when it first came out. You can sell your phone now which would be ideal as you will get paid more than if you were to hold out until later. The reason for this is that phones’ value decreases over time. The value of your device will also be determined by its condition. If your phone has visible signs of damage for example, then this will reduce its value. We would recommend that you keep your Honor 5c in a phone case for this reason.
You can resell your Honor 5c once you are finished with it. This will usually involve your device getting refurbished to make it suitable to be sold on. If your phone is completely broken, then it can still have the profitable parts from inside the device removed and sold on.
Your phone could be totally broken, but this does not mean that you will not be able to make some money out of it. You just need to categorise your phone as ‘broken’. Some ways that your phone could be broken is if the screen has shattered, faulty buttons or audio issues. If your device has been subjected to water damage, then you should ensure that you see your recycling company’s T&Cs or contact them to see what your next steps are.
