This Sunday will be a Father’s Day like none we’ve experienced before, as some of us may have had to spend a lot of time away from our loved ones for the sake of protecting them from the coronavirus. Now that some of the restrictions are starting to be lifted however, there’s more activities that can be carried out, meaning more options out there for Father’s Day. We’ve compiled a list of our top three tech gift ideas that work while social distancing, so that your dad can make the most of lockdown this Father’s Day.
If your dad likes tech (we certainly do), then why not go for a pair of wireless headphones? Wireless headphones are useful for listening to music while doing an activity, such as exercising or gardening. It’s great to be able to go round the house without the cable snagging on a door or cupboard handle, or having them yanked out of your ears. We recommend the Anker Soundcore wireless headphones, available to buy on Amazon.
Now’s the ideal time to buy your dad a fitness tracker if you were thinking of getting him one, as Fitbit have recently released their latest Versa model, the Fitbit Versa 2. The release of this model has decreased the price of former models and fitness trackers from other brands, so you should be able to find a good deal. We recommend the Fitbit Inspire HR, which you can get from Currys.
Voice assistant and smart speaker technology has been around for a while, but it has taken off immensely in recent years with Alexa quickly becoming a household name (or even a digital member of the household). Rather than one of these products though, you could keep it simple and go for a waterproof Bluetooth speaker which would make the perfect addition to a summer barbecue. Sometimes it's better to just listen to music without someone interrupting to ask Alexa a question every two minutes.
A smart speaker that we recently gave away in our summer giveaway is the Anker SoundCore 2, available to buy on Amazon.
Whatever you decide to do this Father’s Day, just make sure that you stay safe and adhere to the social distancing guidelines. We hope you have a great weekend.

Unfortunately, the digital age has made cheating harder to spot, but it doesn’t make it any less real. Over the past decade, the concept of what constitutes “cheating” has expanded to include a variety of behaviours that might not have been considered cheating a generation ago.
The Galaxy S25 marks the latest addition to Samsung’s flagship portfolio. In the lead-up to the launch of the S25, we analysed on-site trade-in prices of the past four generations of Galaxy S series (S21, S22, S23, and S24) to gain insights into how well these models retained their value during their first year on the market and what the first 12 months for the S25 might look like.
As each year progresses, it seems as though AI and GenAI is being woven into our society creating more and more innovative tech advancements. From generated text, images, videos and even technology that works to detect cancer, you can expect AI to be able to create all types of content and task completion which is only to be improved on in 2025.
